It's been a tough year for the Jewish people.  But we're resilient when we're together.

Now, more than ever, you need to belong to your Jewish community.  And it all starts with the High Holidays.

Meet Shabbos Kestenbaum

Holiday Sale

Shabbos Kestenbaum is a hometown hero in Plano, after spending the year making headlines for combatting antisemitism on college campuses across the nation.  He has testified in congress multiple times, and was a featured speaker at the Republican National Convention.  Shabbos is currently suing his own school, Harvard University, for antisemitism.

He travels the country assisting Jewish students on campus in standing up as proud Jews, and is excited to come back "home" to Plano for the High Holidays once again. He will lead programs for both adults and teens.

Our Features

Something for everyone.

Spirited Traditional Service

Uplifting and inspiring, the Hebrew service on the High Holidays blends prayer and song.  You will find yourself tapping to the beat while you connect with hundreds of years of tradition on this emotional holiday.

Learners' Service

The always-entertaining Rabbi Yogi Robkin joins forces this year with Shabbos Kestenbaum to pack a one-two punch of inspiration, laughter, and meaningful conversation.  It's bracketed by meaningful prayer, and you will walk away refreshed and ready to take on the new year!

Youth Program

Drop off your little ones at the Laizerovich Family Youth Center for a day of fun, laughter and learning.  They will join tens of other kids supervised by our dedicated staff, under the leadership of veteran educator Aimee Wortendyke, M.Ed.

Teen Time

You know him, you love him, and now he's famous!  Shabbos Kestenbaum returns to inspire our teens and regale them with stories from his many headline-making travels and speaking engagements over this past year.

Are there assigned seats?

No, we do not assign seats at DATA of Plano. Many people like to fluctuate between the various services we offer, and that is totally fine and even encouraged!

What if it's my first time?

Welcome!  We hope you enjoy your visit and find a warm and welcoming community at DATA of Plano.  First time families or people pay only $36 for the entire High Holidays.  Yes, you read that right.  It's our way of saying, welcome to the community!

I'm not comfortable with Hebrew.  Will I enjoy the service?

Yes! Our learners' service is perfect for you.  It's more of a discussion group and inspirational class, with some English prayers at the end.

I have more questions.  How can I reach someone?

We're always available for questions of all types.  After all, we're  Jewish!  You can feel free to email enissel@dataofplano.org.  You can also call, text or Whatsapp (970) 402-2281.

What are the times of the services?

The various services range in start time from 8:30 to 10:30, and they all conclude at about 1:00 or 1:30.  A more comprehensive schedule will be published and shared with those registered closer to Rosh Hashana.

What about my children?

We have something for all ages at DATA of Plano.  Children in elementary school will enjoy our robust youth program beginning at 10:30 in the Laizerovich Family Youth Center, next door to the main building.   Middle school children are welcome at the Learners' Service, and teens have their own program with the renowned Shabbos Kestenbaum.

See you soon!

We look forward to greeting you on October 3rd for Rosh Hashana services.  In the meantime, feel free to be in touch at enissel@dataofplano.org or (970) 402-2281.
