3 Pre Pesach Classes:

1. The pre Pesach class for women given by Devorah Zakon and Brocha Stolov will take place Tuesday evening March 20th at 8:00 P.M. at DATA of Plano. Please rsvp to nzakon@dataofplano.org.

2. Rabbi Klein’s class on Preparing your kitchen for Pesach as well as Kosher for Pesach food products will take place Wednesday evening March 21 8:00 P.M. at DATA of Plano as scheduled. Please rsvp to nzakon@dataofplano.org.

Wednesday evening March 28th 8 P.M at DATA of Plano with Rabbi Zakon. This class is a must for people hosting their own Seder or looking to inject more energy into the Seder they are attending!

Learn how to plan for success with a great Seder. Learn the details of the Mitzvos that must be fulfilled during the Seder.

Pre Purim and Purim Schedule

The Shabbos before Purim is called Parshas Zachor. On this Shabbos we have a special Torah reading. This is the only Torah mandated (as opposed to rabbinical) Torah reading during the whole year!

Wednesday March 7- Fast of Esther

Fast begins 5:34 A.M.

People who are ill should consult with a rabbi as to whether they should fast. Pregnant or nursing women should not fast.

Mincha 5:45 P.M.

There are four special Mitzvos of Purim:

1. To hear the Megilla reading both Purim evening and daytime

2. To have a festive meal during Purim day. Please join us for the DATA of Plano Purim Mexcian style gala Seuda!

3. To give gifts of money enough to buy a meal to two poor people.(Between $8-10) This obligation is for men, women and children above the age of bar or bas mitzva. I am collecting money for poor people which will be distributed on Purim. Please give me this moeny (cash or check made out to DATA of Plano) to me before Purim day!

4. To give a gift of 2 ready to eat foods or beverage to at least one person. This should be done during the daytime hours of Purim

Megilla Reading 7:15 P.M.

Men, women and children over the age of bar or bas mitzva are obligated to hear the Megilla. Children who are capable of sitting and listening to the whole Megilla should be encouraged to do so.

The children will watch a Purim theme movie with supervision in the childcare room during Megilla Reading.
