    2. Megilla Reading

Men and women (over the age of bas or bar mitzva)are obligated to hear the Megilla BOTH during the evening of Purim (Wednesday evening) and during the day of Purim! (Thursday)

3. Matanos Lievyonim-Gifts to the poor

Men and women (over the age of bar or bas mitzva) must give a meal or the amount of money it would cost to purchase a meal to two poor people. This must given during the day of Purim.

RMBM (Maimonides) writes that one should spend more money on gifts to the poor than on the festive meal. One should figure that a meal for a poor person costs $10 per poor person.

Rabbi Zakon  is collecting money for this and the money will be distributed on Purim day both locally and in Israel. Please give the money to him BEFORE Purim

 4. Mishloach Manos
