New Navi-Prophets Project!

To celebrate 5774 we are starting a new program designed to study the Neviim (Prophets)! We will be starting with Joshua and plan on reading approximately 10 verses per day. This pace will allow us to study the entire book of Joshua in2 months! Within a year of following this schedule you will have completed Judges and Samuel as well! FInally we will know the verses our CHristian neighbors are quoting to us form our Torah!

A spreadsheet with the verse schedule will be posted online so you can reference anytime and catch up if you join late or fall behind.

In order to facilitate communication among the group David Raucher has formed a Google Group called DOP_Nuvi_Project. This is a private group so you will need to be sent an invitation to join and see what is posted. Once in the group you will be able to see the Verse Calendar, post questions, join in discussions, etc…

The Verse Schedule is posted in the Google Group so you can access it anytime. The idea is for each person to read on their own in accordance with the posted schedule. Group members will then be able to post questions and comments on the Google Group for others to comment or just read. Rabbi Zakon will offer some insights on these posts. In addition we will meet online in a Google Hangout every other week. You can join the Hangout by webcam or just audio, Rabbi Zakon will lead a discussion about what we have been reading over the last two weeks.

If you wish to join please email David Raucher at and he will email you back an invite. If you do not have an email address you can create one for free at To join the Hangout you will need a Google account.
