Schedule for Marriage and Parenting Shabbaton December 7-8

Please join us for a Shabbaton at DATA of Plano geared to empower your marriage and child relationships, with Beth and Kenny Broodo! Relationships are at the core of who we are. Somehow though our most important relationships can present the greatest tests of life.  Learn how to reclaim the joy, intimacy and fulfillment in your marriage, and the affection and respect with your kids!

Friday Evening December 7th
5:45 P.M. - Relationships:  Who Gets To Be In Charge?
Shabbos December 8
Sermon 10:45 A.M. - You are Now Entering the Parenting Decompression Chamber (Learner’s Service and Traditional Service will join for the sermon.)
Kiddush 11:45 A.M.

12:15 P.M.  “Communication, Fighting and Joy in Your Marriage!” In this interactive workshop led by Beth  you will learn the art of healthy communication to bring the joy and change you are seeking in your relationship.
Communal lunch 1:15 Suggested donation $25 per family. Please rsvp to Rabbi Zakon for lunch.
There will be childcare for the sermon and 12:15 Workshop.
5:15 P.M. For women “Intimacy, Boredom and Resignation: A Conversation to Take On What’s Bugging You!” Location TBA
5:15 For men  “Look, I Already Said I Love You:  What You Need to Know to Thrive in Marriage.”
All talks will be at DATA of Plano except for the 5:15 talk for women.

Beth Broodo, MS, LPC, RYT
Program Director and Clinician Breast Cancer Support
at Jewish Family Service (JFS) since 2007. At JFS, she facilitates
support groups for women survivors of cancer and provides
individual counseling for women and couples. In addition she teaches meditative yoga classes.
She is trained by Dr. John Gottman in assessment and intervention with couples and
developing a “sound marital house”.
Kenny Broodo is a labor and employment attorney, a  partner at Gardere Wynne Sewell law firm, and a long time student of DATA and Rabbi Aryeh Feigenbaum. Kenny is a passionate teacher, and tries his best to be a wonderful husband a great Dad! HIs talks have been very well received at DATA of Plano.
