Pre Purim and Purim Schedule

The Shabbos before Purim is called Parshas Zachor. On this Shabbos we have a special Torah reading. This is the only Torah mandated (as opposed to rabbinical) Torah reading during the whole year!

Special Torah reading Shabbos March 3

First Reading 10:30 A.M.

Second Reading 11:45 A.M.

Special Pre Purim Bash for the whole family!

Come celebrate Purim with us!

We will have Purim silly games, arts and crafts; face painting upside down science experiment and for the adults we will have our very famous ask the rabbi discussion about Purim and much, much more!

When: March 4th

At: Data of Plano

Time: 3pm to 5pm

Cost :$5 a person $20 per a family So what are you waiting for?

Wednesday March 7- Fast of Esther

Fast begins 5:34 A.M.

People who are ill should consult with a rabbi as to whether they should fast. Pregnant or nursing women should not fast.

Mincha 5:45 P.M.

There are four special Mitzvos of Purim:

1. To hear the Megilla reading both Purim evening and daytime

2. To have a festive meal during Purim day. Please join us for the DATA of Plano Purim Mexcian style gala Seuda!

3. To give gifts of money enough to buy a meal to two poor people.(Between $8-10) This obligation is for men, women and children above the age of bar or bas mitzva. I am collecting money for poor people which will be distributed on Purim. Please give me this moeny (cash or check made out to DATA of Plano) to me before Purim day!

4. To give a gift of 2 ready to eat foods or beverage to at least one person. This should be done during the daytime hours of Purim

Megilla Reading 7:15 P.M.

Men, women and children over the age of bar or bas mitzva are obligated to hear the Megilla. Children who are capable of sitting and listening to the whole Megilla should be encouraged to do so.

The children will watch a Purim theme movie with supervision in the childcare room during Megilla Reading.

Thursday March 8th-Purim

Morning Services 6:45 A.M.

Megilla Reading 7:15 A.M.

Second Megilla Reading 10:30 A.M.

Mincha 4:45 P.M.

Mexcian style Purim Seuda for adults and children 5P.M.

Pre registration for Seuda required. Please register by emailing

$18 per adult $8 per child.

Sponsorships- $180, $100, $54. Please consider being a sponsor!

The Seuda is BYOB! We will have music, dancing, great food, bounce house and more!
