Shabbos Parshas Vayika March 11-12

Evening Services 6:15 P.M.

Morning Services 9:00 A.M.

Purim Schedule:

Thursday March 17 is the Fast of Esther:

Fast begin 6:21 A.M.

Mincha 7:00P.M.

Fast Ends 8:21 P.M.

Men and women over the age of bar/bat mitzva should fast. If someone has a health issue…please consult a rabbi.

March 20th-Purim. There are four mitzvos of Purim:

1. Men, women and children(old enough to be capable of sitting through an entire Megilla reading) are obligated to hear the reading of the Megilla Purim evening (Saturday night March 19th) and Purim day.

Megila Reading Saturday Evening 9:00P.M.

Sunday Morning 8:45 A.M. Limited childcare will be provided for both readings.
2. Mishloach Manot- Adult men and women are obligated to give at least one gift of two prepared food items to a friend on Purim day.

3. Matanot Lievyonim- Adult men and women are obligated to give a meal or the value of a meal to two poor people.($25 should cover the requirment of giving to 2 poor people) Husbands and wives each have their own obligation.

Rabbi Zakon will be distibuting money to the poor locally and in Israel on Purim day. You can give him cash or check and he will distribute on your behalf. Money must be given to him by Saturday evening March 19th the latest.

Sunday Morning all families are invited to join us for fun,baking, Purim skit at the center from 10A.M.-11:30A.M. Following this we will go to The Legacy as a community to bring cheer to the residents. Please join for this great Mitzva!

4. Seudat Purim- Festive meal must be eaten on Purim day.
We have 60 people signed up for the DATA of Plano Purim Seuda! Reservations must emailed to by March 13th! The meal will be catered by A Taste Of The World (Ceci and Ruthie)and it will be Chinese cuisine! The Sueda will start at 4:30P.M.
Cost is $15 per adult and $7.50 per child. There will bounce houses and fun for the kids.
BYOB bring your own Kosher mevushal wine for adults only!

Matza Order:

We will be ordering hand Matza for Pesach. It will be $21 per pound. (7-8 matzos in a pound and roughly each adult uses 2 matzos at the Seder) Orders must be pre paid and must be in by the latest March 27th. To order email
