Two basic differences between Shabbos and Yomtov are:
1. On Yomtov one can carry outside an Eruv.(All this is assuming that Yomtov does not fall out on Shabbos)
2. One can cook from a pre lit flame for that day.
One is not permitted to prepare from one day of Shavuos(or any Yomtov) for the next day. Therefore meal preperations for Wednesday evening can only begin after 9:07P.M. Please call Rabbi Zakon or Rabbi Yogi for more details or questions
